A simple tool for a personal signature
Electronic Signature Online is a free browser tool for creating a reusable image of your signature. Draw it yourself, type your name, or extract a signature from an image, then download an image for your documents and creative work.
What you can make
Draw mode accepts mouse, touch, or stylus input and gives you ink colors, pen thickness, and undo and redo controls. Type mode renders your name in one of 12 signature designs or 24 handwriting styles, including elegant calligraphy, casual lettering, and bold brush designs. Preview your name in each style and choose the one that suits you.
All three modes produce PNG or JPG downloads cropped around your signature. PNG can keep a transparent background, which is useful when placing handwriting over a document. There is no subscription, watermark, or account requirement.
Extract signature reads a PNG, JPG, WebP, or AVIF image on your device and removes a plain paper background. Compare the original and extracted result, adjust removal strength for faint ink or shadows, then download a transparent PNG.
Designed to work on your device
The tool is built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The browser renders and exports your signature without uploading it. Fonts are bundled with the site, so the tool does not need an external font service. The privacy and security page explains the details, including ordinary hosting requests and downloaded files.
What this tool does not do
Sign document places signature images on any page of a PDF and downloads a signed copy. The tool does not edit Word documents, verify identities, apply certificate-based digital signatures, or provide a signing audit trail. Extract signature separates ink from plain paper in a locally chosen image; it is not a general-purpose photo cutout tool. You can download the extracted image or use it to sign a PDF. Use a recipient’s required signing process when a document calls for one.
